Celebrated every August 26, this day commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. It’s a day to celebrate and honor the heroic women that overcame discrimination, obstacles and violence to fight for women’s equality.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the guarantee and protection of this important constitutional right – a right these women fought for over 72 years to achieve.
Their stories are a crucial piece of our “her”story and offer motivation to continue our efforts toward an inclusive, just and equal America for all.
