Robbie Lyng, director of maintenance and facilities for Alameda City USD in California, had a legacy maintenance management system that lacked work order tracking and wasn’t user friendly. Robbie set out to find a new CMMS that could streamline the process.
SchoolDude’s MaintenanceDirect had everything Robbie was looking for; it is user-friendly, tracks requests through completion, and automatically communicates with end-users. MaintenanceDirect’s reporting function has helped Robbie justify the need for more staff. “I hired 4 more technicians due to the overload of work I was able to show with SchoolDude.” The reports showed the school board that the district had an overwhelming number of painting and electrical requests.
