These are accounts from two students who were at a Santa Ana, CA school during a boiler room explosion in June. The explosion lifted the roof off the building, causing significant structural damage.
Investigators are not sure of the cause, but think it may be a mechanical failure of the boiler. Read more about the boiler room explosion and check out a news clip as well.
Luckily, the explosion took place before classes started and there were only minor injuries; however, this could have been much more dangerous depending on the location and time of day.
