In my series on QR Codes, I decided to test this technology on CrisisManager. Educational organizations that are implementing our new app often want ideas on how to spread the word while keeping it easy for their intended audience to have the app and any plan(s) deemed appropriate for having on a smartphone.
The CrisisManager portal (used to create, update and secure plans) has an ability to show links to a plan along with links to topics in a plan. This can be used for:
Let's take a first example of a QR Code to download the app. I used www.qrstuff.com to create these codes as it is simple and powerful.
If you do not have a QR reader (I use RedLaser in my tests), open up this page on your phone and click on QR codes below as I have linked the graphics to the same web addresses they would use via a QR scanner.
DOWNLOAD THE APP:
If you do not have a QR scanner on your smartphone, QRStuff has a backup plan! Click on the QR code above or go to http://qrs.ly/9g4cr37 on your smartphone or tablet to download the app. The link will not work on your laptop, but will for Apple or Android devices.
DOWNLOAD A PLAN:
I developed a sample plan to allow someone an opportunity to test the app and its navigation. It will take a few seconds longer to download than most plans as I have many graphics in it to show the potential capabilities.
Don't have a QR scanner? Click here, or on the code above, on your smartphone or tablet.
