I've worked on the marketing team at SchoolDude since 2013. I currently am the Public K-12 Marketing Manager and serve the Public K-12 market with helpful resources and trends that can help them in their day-to-day work. I work closely with the sales organization and several other departments to ensure clients and the public have a clear understanding of what SchoolDude does and the benefits our solutions provide to educational institutions. It’s exciting to work in marketing everyday and see clients succeed and schools benefit from using SchoolDude. I grew up in Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Business- Wahoowa!
With over 40,000 students,
Frederick County Public Schools takes great pride in its facilities, with the mantra 'We strive to provide an optimum learning environment.' With the school’s growing needs and cultural shift to focus more on student achievement and accountability with the Maintenance Department, the district began using SchoolDude’s maintenance solutions switching from their antiquated CMMS.
However, how the district put its corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance plan in place was a bit different than most.
Frederick County started by implementing preventive maintenance (PM) rather than getting the work order system up and running first. Therefore, the system had a complete inventory of all equipment in order to tag corrective work orders to specific equipment and materials. The M&O Department was impressed with the results.
“We are performing PM on over 180,000 pieces of equipment and used industry standards to correctly schedule PM tasks. As a result, our equipment has far exceeded the industry standard life expectancy and we receive less work order requests because our equipment is well-maintained.”
