I joined the SchoolDude family in 2008 as a member of the Client Services team conducting trainings and supporting clients. Today, I proudly serve as Help Content Developer on the Success Operations team. Is there a way I can
set up Organization Wide Events or Workdays on the Calendar without putting in
Yes! You can set up Calendar Event Types for Holidays, In
Service Days, and other events for the entire Organization or just for
individual Locations. This will show a conflict but allow you to override them

I have a schedule
that is showing more events on the calendar than what was requested. Why are
they showing so many times?
This is likely because the Spans Over field on the schedule has been set to a number other
than 1. This field will always default to 1 and there is no need to change it
unless you are scheduling an overnight event. It may be helpful to make sure
your users understand that the spans over reflects each individual event, not
all of them collectively. For example, if there are 5 events on your schedule
that are taking place for 3 hours each date, you will want the spans over to be
1, not 5.
Is there anything that I can customize for my request
form that I can make required to fill out?
Yes! You can create custom Questions to add
to the schedule request form in FSDirect. They can be Yes/No Questions or they
can be Free Text Questions. Both types can be made required for users to fill
out before they are able to save their request. Default values can even be
placed in the text box to prompt requesters to fill in the correct
