I joined the SchoolDude family in 2008 as a member of the Client Services team conducting trainings and supporting clients. Today, I proudly serve as Help Content Developer on the Success Operations team. My main expertise is creating new help documents, online guides and manuals, and short "how to" videos for all of our solutions. My goal in creating these materials is to help our clients be as successful as possible with our wonderful set of applications. When I'm not working, I'm busy chasing around my two young sons who keep my life full of love, fun, and craziness!
Summer is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re on
vacation. We are always here to answer
your questions and help you get the most out of your SchoolDude solutions. Here are some great ITDirect questions we’ve

I often need to
create a batch of incidents for common tasks, such as setting up a new hire. Is
there a tool in ITDirect that will allow me to do this more efficiently?
Absolutely! Project Templates are used for repetitive

there are certain tasks that always need to be done, like setting up a
computer, email address, and telephone for that person. These tasks might even

each task as well as assignment information, so that you can create multiple
incidents with the click of a button.

Asset Import feature. Click

upload your assets.
How can I find out how much time and money
has been spent on an asset?
To track the time and costs associated with an asset, you
must first have your assets listed in the Asset Inventory section of ITDirect.
You will then be able to tie these assets to the incidents that you create. You
and your staff will need to enter labor hours and purchase costs in the
Transaction section of these incidents. You can then run an Asset Inventory
Summary report that will show the labor hours, labor costs, and material costs
I have created a questionnaire
but it is not showing on the MySchoolBuilding request page. How can I fix this?
Once a questionnaire is created it has to be activated from
within the MySchoolBuilding setup page. To do this:
