I've been a member of the SchoolDude marketing team for over 3 years, and I work with Independent schools and Higher Education institutions. I’ve lived in North Carolina my entire life, but don’t have much of an accent – at least I don’t think I do? I attended NC State University and earned my degree in Communication. I'm active in several clubs within in the community. On the weekend, you’ll find me downtown testing out new restaurants, volunteering or dancing at a local concert.
In early 2016, SchoolDude, in partnership with NBOA and Building Solutions, conducted a survey of independent school business officers and facilities staff to provide maintenance and operations benchmarks to help inform decisions regarding your school’s physical plant and facilities staffing. A total of 174 independent schools participated in the survey.
The goal was to collect financial and demographic data from independent schools based on key performance indicators (KPIs). This information is intended to provide insights into your institution’s budget and staffing levels while providing valuable data to support future choices for your facilities budget and staffing.
The survey results shed light on the ever-increasing demands on independent school budgets. Schools of all sizes are dealing with aging infrastructure, but many are inclined to cut facilities budgets over human and financial budgets.
