Prior to SchoolDude, Nick served as the Vice President for Public Affairs and Executive Engagement at the North Carolina Technology Association. He also served as Senior Vice President and Communications Director for a nationally-recognized government affairs, public opinion and strategic communications firm in Arlington, Virginia, working for various Fortune 100 clients, including: American Express, AT&T, Boeing, Federal Express, Hospital Corporation of America, Merrill Lynch, and Exxon Mobil.
Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a Master’s degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
We announced our work with Miami-based, independent school Palmer Trinity School this week and Campus Safety and THE Journal took notice. Our CrisisManager is making emergency plans available to Palmer Trinity School’s 130 staff members with step-by-step instructions for 18 distinct emergency response plans. Students and parents will have access to a future version of the app.Although Palmer Trinity School already had a detailed emergency response guide, it lived in a 40-page binder that was cumbersome and quickly outdated. CrisisManager offers a way to ensure that emergency response procedures are updated in real-time on staffs’ mobile devices, e.g., lockdown locations, school maps, and phone number detail. According to Palmer Trinity Head of School Patrick Roberts, “With more than 700 students on a 55-acre campus, we needed a way to empower our staff with the most up-to-date safety procedures. Booklets and binders are no longer effective.” Staff at Palmer Trinity School can access building diagrams in CrisisManager and utilize one-tap emergency contact calling. Plans, available with or without a Wi-Fi connection, are fully customizable, password-protected, and only shared with individuals based on their responsibilities within the organization.Roberts added, “CrisisManager helps us create a safer teaching and learning environment by guaranteeing that emergency plans are quickly available on our staff’s mobile devices.” Established in 1972, Palmer Trinity School—a coeducational, Episcopal day school—provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum. The school serves students from a broad range of socio-economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds in grades six through 12.
