In 2005 I was hired by SchoolDude as a Client Adviser. Growing up in the tech support and implementation side of the business, I gained a unique appreciation for the challenges and opportunities facing facility operations professionals at schools. In 2009 the Dude created a Success Management team, where I was fortunate to lead a small team responsible for engaging clients, assessing their opportunities, and helping to maximize their investment. In 2012 started wearing two big hats - Community Engagement Manager and Chief Data Dude. Today I'm very excited to be managing our Client Support team. My passion lies in leading this team of legendary support professionals, connecting peers in SchoolDude Nation, creating a valuable Community experience, and telling stories with data that inspire success in Facility Operations.

Building and Grounds Manager, Don Keck, with Stevens Point Area School District, Wisconsin (7,453 Students), purchased PMDirect in August of 2012.
He recognized the value of a PM program, as nearly all Facilities Managers do. But he also recognized he needed help getting the program up and running. "I wanted to get PMDirect up and running quickly and there was no way I'd be able to do it all on my own with time and resource constraints. I didn't want it to drag on and not have the information we need on our PM work orders."
There was also the concern of data integrity and getting everything entered correctly and efficiently for the district that would be using this solution long term, Don said, "The whole district has to be maintained with this software and I didn't want to make a mistake."
So Don enlisted the help of SchoolDude's SuccessPlus PM Implementation Services and worked with one of our certified partners, SMA, to get PMDirect up and running quickly. "We did have a PM Program before SchoolDude, so SMA helped import most of the Schedule Descriptions and Equipment. SMA did all of the setup, then we were able to elaborate in areas we wanted to expand." In all, they created over 800 PM schedules and over 2100 pieces of equipment. And they did it all virtually to keep the costs down.
Now, nearly one and a half years of PMDirect being implemented, Stevens Point is a top performer in Preventive Maintenance and has the KPIs to showcase their success.
Nearly 50% of all their work orders generated in the last 12 months are PMs. The average for Public K-12 districts is about 17%.
