I've worked on the marketing team at SchoolDude since 2013. I currently am the Public K-12 Marketing Manager and serve the Public K-12 market with helpful resources and trends that can help them in their day-to-day work. I work closely with the sales organization and several other departments to ensure clients and the public have a clear understanding of what SchoolDude does and the benefits our solutions provide to educational institutions. It’s exciting to work in marketing everyday and see clients succeed and schools benefit from using SchoolDude. I grew up in Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Business- Wahoowa!
Kathryn Ward has been an Application Engineer for SchoolDude since 2011. Kathryn provides world-class support and works closely with our clients to ensure their success, anticipate challenges our clients face, and deliver practical solutions to overcome them.
On their second day back to work after summer break the Rockaway Township secretaries spent their morning with me on Wednesday, September 4, buffing up on SchoolDude’s MaintenanceDirect and FSDirect. They were relieved to find out the problem type list that they currently see will be slashed down to just 15 choices, cutting minutes out of their request time. They were also excited to learn about being able to print a list of events in chronological order to give out to their building technicians on the calendar page of FSDirect’s site administrator page. We had great discussions about risk management and the importance of every event being in FSDirect. I believe the group all left with renewed excitement about SchoolDude and are ready to be the SchoolDude advocates in their building. They worked very hard and crammed a lot into a short morning- great work ladies!
My afternoon at Rockaway was spent with the district’s amazing Maintenance team. I met a fellow dudette named Kathryn spelled exactly like my name with a similar spit fire attitude. I can tell she really keeps her team in line! The Maintenance team is currently using printed work order forms with a goal to move over to using the online technician view. They are excited to get online training this October and go live January 1, 2014; we worked hard to ensure the teams meet their go-live date. The maintenance team learned why tracking labor hours on work orders is important and how to do it in MaintenanceDirect’s technician role. I think one of the favorite features this team discovered was the advanced search and how they could use this before leaving a building to see what open work may still be there. This will save the team time by completing any open work at a location, so they don’t have to drive back again later in the day.
Thank you to Rockaway for letting me come in and spend time with you while you were preparing for school to start. Your hard work in the SchoolDude solutions shows what a dedicated team you are. Have an amazing 2013-2014 school year!
